This catalog copy appeared in the “GW Little” pet catalog and website. Short, fun piece to go with lots of photographs of designer dog clothes and Halloween costumes:
There’s no doubt that dressing up your little dog gives you a lot of pleasure, and also gets you compliments when you’re out and about with him. But there’s a lot more to clothing him than the look-good factor.
In the colder months his small body needs the extra warmth: whether you’re taking him out on the town or just around the block on a potty break, slip on his favorite sweater, hoodie, or parka and you’re set. Paw protection is also advised to stop him from getting chills and to protect against hidden nasties such as broken glass and thorns. Consider soft and cozy pajamas for cool nights when he wiggles out from his blanket.
In summer you’ll need a change of wardrobe. A lighter T or tank will protect him from bugs and keep his coat clean – fewer trips to the groomer equals more money in your pocket! Rain gear, of course, is essential all the time to keep him dry. How about a jaunty hat and sunglasses if he’s riding with you in the car with the roof down!
But, perhaps, it’s the seasonal celebrations where you can both shine. Easter is fun with beautiful pastel shades and rabbit costumes – and Halloween and Christmas are always the perfect time to splurge on an outfit that’s all about having fun!
